Order Line Item Details

A common question we receive is: “Are the products listed as separate line items when customers add the bundle to cart?”

The answer depends on which bundle mode you’re using.

Single-SKU Mode

In Single-SKU mode, the bundle appears as one line item in the cart and in your orders. The individual products that make up the bundle are listed as line item properties on that single product.

This means:

• Cart shows one product (the bundle) with the component products listed as properties
• Order details show one line item with properties listing each component product, variant, SKU, and quantity
• Inventory is automatically adjusted for each component product when the order is placed

Multi-SKU Mode

In Multi-SKU mode, each product selected by the customer appears as its own line item in the cart and in your orders. Each item retains its own SKU and variant information.

This means:

• Cart shows each component product as a separate line item
• Orders show individual line items for each product in the bundle
• Fulfillment services can pick and pack by individual SKU
• Shopify handles inventory automatically for each component

Which Mode Should I Use?

Use Single-SKU if you want a clean, consolidated view with one line item per bundle. Use Multi-SKU if your fulfillment process requires individual SKU tracking.

You can set the bundle mode when creating or editing a bundle in the Bundable app.
